Senate joins the House in taking action on Missouri’s energy future

Encouraging progress continues taking shape for early site permit legislation in Jefferson City. On Tuesday, House Bill 124 passed the Utilities Committee and was moved to the floor for full consideration. And on Wednesday, Senator Mike Kehoe introduced Senate Bill 321, a measure that is similar to Senate Bill 50, but includes additional and stronger consumer protections:

Make Your Voice Heard

Over the next several weeks, MBEF will attend a series of rate hearings across the state of Missouri. These hearings are an opportunity for those of us concerned about Missouri’s ability to meet our future electricity demands with affordable, reliable, clean power to get together and make our voices heard. We at MBEF will be there, continuing to advocate for the type of long-term strategic planning that will allow us to retain Missouri’s comparatively low electricity rates.
