 MBEF to Join Sen. Kehoe, Rep. Riddle in MO State House Lounge for Press Conference Announcing Business and Community Support in Advance of Hearing on Nuclear Site Permit Bill

JEFFERSON CITY – Tomorrow, on Wednesday, March 9th, Missourians for a Balanced Energy Future (MBEF) will join Sen. Mike Kehoe, Rep. Jeanie Riddle and additional co-sponsors of Senate Bill 321, along with business and community leaders from across the state, to show support for Senate Bills 321 and 359, the Nuclear Site Permit Bills.

Following the press conference, the Missouri State Senate Veterans’ Affairs, Pensions and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a hearing on the bill. It has yet to be determined whether or not Committee Chairman Crowell will allow the bill, which has widespread support, including 19 co-sponsors, and over 200 organizations from across Missouri – including the Governor’s office, the Missouri AFL-CIO, the Missouri Farm Bureau and many small and large businesses – to be voted out of Committee and moved for proper debate in the Senate.
