In this final week of the legislative session, MBEF and all supporters of the nuclear site permit bill are focusing their efforts on final passage of the legislation.
As our coal-fired plants continue to age and federal regulations require costly upgrades, it is critical that Missouri develop a long-term plan to continue to meet our state’s electricity needs in the most affordable way possible. Nuclear power may be the best bet to meet this challenge, but without the nuclear site permit bill, nuclear power will no longer be an option in Missouri.
